This is the 1st truck ever owned by the Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Department. A 1958 Chevrolet/Howe Pumper, delivered in November of 1958 for $11,300. The truck was equipped with a 500GPM Waterous 2-stage pump, booster reel, and a 750 Gallon tank. This truck remained in service until sometime in 2002 when it was removed from service. The truck underwent a restoration project that started in early 2008 and was finished in time for our 50th Anniversary. A special thanks to Chief Brian Dudley and Asst. Chief Tony Bauguess for the countless hours they invested in making sure the truck was done on time. The restoration project was funded solely from our Chicken Supper fundraisers. |
